“We had such a great experience at this RV park. We made a last minute reservation by phone when trying to find accommodations in order to attend a funeral service. While we didn’t mention the reason for our stay, the office staff could not have been more helpful, booking us into a wonderfully maintained, sizeable, and treed full hook up spot. The park had a problem with their well pump early the next morning, leaving the campground without water. This problem was identified, addressed and resolved within a few hours, and all of the staff, including the manager, were personally helpful and present. This is a very well run, beautiful rv park, and we will definitely return!”

“This is our second season at Oak Lake RV Resort and we love the staff and community here! It's a hidden gem. Most of the campsites here are spacious and there are great tent/cabin options for when our family/friends visit. We enjoy the quiet and nature walks during the week with our dog. Our grandchildren love the beach, jumpy pillow, and glow rides. Our campsite is near the farm field and we had far less mosquitoes than other campgrounds where we've stayed.
New management in 2022, and they are working hard to make ongoing improvements. We highly recommend it.”

“My family comes here every year and has loved it every single time. (Always around 12 people and everyone loves it, especially the kids!) The employees are always so kind and helpful. The beach and campground is always tidy, and they have a schedule for bathroom cleaning so you know to take kids before or after thy are done! I would recommend this place to any friend or family member.”

“I just wanted to give a big shout out to Tim, Maryann & Staff for really outdoing yourselves this weekend. The Yurt we stayed in was awesome and very clean. They had games, DJ and food truck. It was one of the best family vacations in a long time we will definitely be back!!! Plus the prices are very reasonable. Great job Oak Lake!!!! Thank you.”

“While searching on Google Maps for a two night stay somewhere I came across Oak Lake RV Resort. I read most of the reviews to get a sense of the place. Even though I was a little concerned of some of them I decided to go there anyway. When I first arrived I was greeted by the desk clerk kindly but I was concerned about the relationship she had with another employee. I sensed some negativity that was a little uncomfortable for me. As I continued in the park after check-in I was met by another employee for an escort to my spot. This employee was kind to me also. Every time I saw her she said high and smiled. After getting settled in I met with Tim, the owner, and we spoke for a while about the future of the resort and the upgrades he’s done and still wants to do. In my opinion this place has great potential to be a full on RV resort but it still has a ways to go like fixing the bridge that leads to an island which would be great for weddings and other special events. The pond is not something I’d swim in but fishing is doable, catch and release by rule. There is a playground for the kids and a dog park. The girls and I walked this entire property using its wide trails which I liked. This rv campground is nice but I’ve stayed in other campgrounds that had much more accommodations like laundry and a functional pool for less than what I payed per night here. A campground of this caliber should be around $40-$50 per night based on a 30 or 50 amp service with water and sewer. If there are upgrades made in the future I can see this place getting away with charging higher prices but until then the prices should be more reasonable. This campground needs a little cosmetic pick me up but I believe it has the potential to be a KOA quality resort. I gave this review 5 stars because there were efforts made in hospitality and they did not once interrupt my visit in a negative way. Thank you for a peaceful stay.”
